A couple months ago my friend Paige and I went out just a little ways away in our little town for a summer adventure. It was perfect timing, the rare moment that this kind of thing works out amidst the busyness of life. Finally getting these up!

I’m definitely not a specialist in real estate photography, but here’s a shot at it!

Katy is a friend from grade school who remains dear to me today.  Her mama was kind of a second mama to me years ago and the reason for my visit was that she tragically passed away after a pretty short and valiant fight with cancer.  This trip was bittersweet: excitement for this new long-awaited baby while supporting Katy and attending Mary’s memorial service.  One of the most painful things about the timing was that Mary died about a month before Katy was due to have this first baby, a gorgeous little girl named Emma Kate, Mary’s first granddaughter.  I cannot express how hard this reality has been for Katy to learn to live with, and I admire the fight in her, much like her mother.  I was honored to take some maternity photos before the funeral.  Take a look at my beautiful friend and her sweet hubby Evan at home and at Red Rocks <3
